This class is designed to bring the whole family together to share a mindful yet playful experience together. Varying content including partner yoga, circus yoga activities, discussion, and the opportunity to quiet the mind through visualization and relaxation. Designed for families with kids ages 5 and up to strengthen the family bond while promoting individual growth.
Through the use of visual imagery, meditation, yoga postures/asanas, games and activities, kids are encouraged to explore the power of self in their community, mindfully building compassion, support and respect in their relationship to themselves and others. While having fun in a safe and non-competitive environment, kids are encouraged to look within themselves to discover their own strengths and gifts, learning to accept the beauty each of them have within.

In today's world, kids are habitually distracted from the non-stop stimulation of motion, light, noise, and a variety of ongoing distractions in their lives. Mindfulness techniques help develop awareness of what's happening both outside and inside oneself, and one's physical being in the world. It teaches kids how to be calm, while gaining an awareness of their bodies, self-control and discipline. Kids learn an integrated technique of play and relaxation, they are provided with tools to help them lower stress, develop concentration skills, improve memory and gain support in learning preparedness. They are nurtured and gain emotional regulation, impulse control and goal-directed behavior.
Teen stress is more widely understood and common. Participating in a yoga practice can help teens relieve this stress, explore who they are and provide a positive influence of themselves and their bodies for the rest of their lives. laughing heart yoga's classes offers tools to guide the students in self exploration, provide ways to handled stress, anger, anxiety, depression and other challenges facing teens.
